Hélène Roubinet
Hélène Roubinet is a French Artist.
She was born in Paris in 1965.
She studied Fine Arts at the reputable Central/Saint Martin’s School of Art & Design in London.
She also has a degree in Architecture and Translation.
She spent many years working as an artist in France (Burgundy, Brittany, Lyons, Paris) as well as London and Perth, her Art developing as her life story and inner growth unraveled.
She currently lives in Perth, Australia where she migrated 10 years ago.

This series is about the Artist’ spiritual growth, her realisation of the grandiosity and magic of the universe - how we as people, and everything in the world are all connected to each other and to the universe.
Hélène had reconnected with herself by then, after years of dedication to the needs of her babies. That new journey had started with some words entering her head one day as she was searching for the next step in her life in the midst of her mid-life crisis – ‘Art Therapy’.
What on earth was that?’ She wondered…She had never heard of it… nevertheless, she listened to the inner voice and found out more about it, bringing goose bumps to her skin when she found out about transpersonal Art Therapy: for the context, Hélène had always loved studying and already acquired a few degrees. She had wanted to study again but had not been able to find a single thing that would light a spark in her in the midst of her crisis. Finally: Yes, this was it… she knew it was – and just as a matter of coincidence, the only course available in her location once a year just happened to start 2 weeks later…Hélène had learnt to recognise the signs of when the Universe was talking to her…when she was being guided…
She embarked on the new journey.

By this time, Hélène had separated. She was rediscovering herself. She attended quite a few spiritual workshops, going inwards with her development, meditating, learning to develop her intuition, her ‘inner knowing’. Gradually She felt more and more connected to the universe and others.

The Transformation
The paintings are showing the inner transformation of a person – the Artist - expressed on canvas before the inner development actually occurs. Like a foresight of what is to come, what she is to become - like manifesting the inner changes desired and making them happen. This transformation is a perfect example of how a person can go up the pyramid of needs from basic needs to self-actualization. This is not about ego, this is not about painting pretty pictures; this is a journey about authenticity, about healing, growth and sharing the light.

The transformation of the Artist is continuing through her dancing and paintings. Things are simply flowing out of her, she is finally coming out of her mid-life crises.
